ELLEN DE WOLF Project Leading Architect
Ellen joined VELD in 2022. She works across both architecture and urbanism, with a particular focus on concept and early design phases. Her work ranges from the design of architectural feasibility studies and urban strategies for the redevelopment of complex urban sites to their translation into architectural design and planning applications. Together with the directors, Ellen contributes significantly to the general development of the office and as a member of the management team she is involved in the decision making of the broader office organisation.

SELECTED PROJECTS
ACV Ruisbroek
Redevelopment of a former industrial site in Ruisbroek into a mixed-use residential neighborhood of 170 homes, combining diverse housing typologies, community facilities and high-quality public spaces.
Ellen initially worked on the urban design vision and masterplan and is now leading the architectural design of 4 residential buildings situated within the larger masterplan, from conceptual design to planning application.
Sint-Jan-Bergsesteenweg
Development of a new 400-home neighbourhood, within a forest based landscape design, on the edge of Leuven’s city center for KULeuven and the social housing company Dijledal.
Ellen is in charge of the architectural design of several residential buildings as well as the public community center from conceptual design to planning application.
