LÉA NOGUÈS Project Leading Architect
Léa joined VELD in 2021. She works primarily on architectural projects while also contributing to urban design projects, across all stages from competitions and conceptual design to detailed design and construction. Her work combines architectural design, project coordination and follow-up through advanced project phases. Together with the directors, Lea contributes significantly to the general development of the office and as a member of the management team she is involved in the decision making of the broader office organisation.

SELECTED PROJECTS
Roubaix Le Pile
Architectural design of 35 social housing units in the Le Pile neighborhood in Roubaix, developed as part of the “Programme National de Requalification des Quartiers Anciens Dégradés”.
Léa has been leading the project, from the initial design stages through to detailed design and construction, which is currently ongoing.
Union Roubaix
Architectural design of a new residential neighborhood with 201 housing units in Roubaix.
Léa is leading the design team from early design stages through planning application to detailed design, working on the architectural development and coordination of the project.
Métropole
Architectural feasibility study for the redevelopment of the Métropole building and its surroundings, situated in Forest, Brussels.
Léa worked on the feasibility study, based on research-by-design method,, exploring the potential of the existing site and defining principles for the future transformation of this iconic building.
GSK Masterplan
Masterplan for the transformation of an industrial production site in Rixensart into a high-end Research & Development campus for the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals.
Léa is in charge of the design of the masterplan and is currently coordinating several on site projects, part of the larger masterplan redevelopment.
